International Perspectives on Youth Policy

As part of the Armenian National Youth Forum’s second day, themed “Meaningful and Sustainable Engagement,” a panel discussion about “International Perspectives on Youth Policy” was held.

During the session, speakers shared and compared successful models of youth policy from different countries, explored the perspectives of international organizations, and reflected on Armenia’s efforts to expand youth participation and engagement.

On August 6, the second day of the Second Armenian National Youth Forum continued under the theme “Meaningful and Sustainable Engagement” with a panel discussion titled “Youth Engagement in Policy, Advocacy and Governance,” bringing together leaders from Armenia and the diaspora who shared their experiences and emphasized why it’s essential for young people to be actively involved in shaping public life and influencing political decisions.

NextGen: Youth Leadership in the Diaspora

The opening roundtable discussion, titled “NextGen: Youth Leadership in the Diaspora,” focused on the experiences and initiatives of active youth from different diaspora communities, and explored how these efforts can contribute to strengthening pan-Armenian unity and deepening Armenia–Diaspora ties.

At the end of the first day of the Armenian National Youth Forum 2025, a short film screening and discussion titled “Through the Youth’s Lens” took place, featuring filmmaker Serouj Hovsepian and actress Armine Vardanyan.

Meaningful Engagement: Youth’s Role in State-Building

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening ceremony of the Second Armenian National Youth Forum at the Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre.

Organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, the Forum runs from August 5 to 7. It hosts 600 Diaspora Armenian youth, aged 18 to 35, from over 50 countries. They will be joined by 200 participants from Armenia throughout the forum.

Official Opening Ceremony

On August 5, the official opening ceremony of the Second Armenian National Youth Forum took place at the Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre in Yerevan.

Organized for the second time by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, this year’s forum brings together 800 Armenian youth aged 18 to 35, representing more than 55 countries — 600 from the Diaspora and 200 from Armenia.

The first day of the Second Armenian National Youth Forum continued with a series of simultaneous sessions held under the theme “Shared Vision and Unified Efforts.”
